Standard Process Flow for River Stone Sand Production (Input Size <200mm)

For river stones with a feed size under 200mm, ZME recommends an efficient closed-circuit process: Pre-screening + Secondary Crushing (Cone Crusher) + Fine Crushing (VSI Sand Maker).

1. Pre-screening: The First Line of Defense in Cost Control

The raw material enters Vibrating Screen 1# via a feeder for initial separation.

  • Separation Logic: Material >40mm enters the Cone Crusher; material 5–40mm bypasses directly to the Vertical Shaft Impact (VSI) Crusher; while 0–5mm natural sand goes straight to the Sand Washing Machine.
  • Value Added: This step prevents fine material from entering the crushers, avoiding “inefficient wear” and “energy waste,” which directly reduces operational costs by approximately 20%.

4. Closed-Circuit & Washing: Final Quality Assurance

Material from the VSI Crusher is precisely separated via Vibrating Screen 3#. Material >20mm is returned for re-crushing; material <20mm proceeds to the finished product stockpiles. Depending on the cleanliness of the raw material, the 0–5mm manufactured sand can be routed to a Sand Washing Machine to remove silt and impurities, yielding high-quality sand with a uniform gradation.
